A clean ship is a safe ship. Here scientist Don Nuzzio helps out the Alvin crew by washing down the Alvin’s hanger with biodegradable soap; this will remove slippery hydraulic fluids that have leaked onto the deck during the nightly routine maintenance on the Alvin. The wash water is all collected for processing; none is released overboard.
