These are three UHAO images taken of the 0.25" binary GG Tau. Note that these are the first images of a young binary clearing the inner part of its circumstellar disk producing a circumbinary disk. This is thought to be a common and important part of the process in which a young star dissipates the circumstellar material around it.See Roddier et al (1996, ApJ 463,326) for more details.
