AEOS spectrograph concept update

Abstract:
The conceptual design for the AEOS visible/NIR spectrograph, being built
at IfA for installation at the Air Force 3.67 m telescope on Haleakala,
is under way. The scope of the instrument is pretty well defined and the
optical designs are in progress. While the overall capabilities of the
spectrograph are constrained by the observatory environment, the state
of technology, and the available funding, some tradeoffs to favor particular
capabilities are possible. This meeting will be an informal presentation
of the current state of the design, and an opportunity for potential users
to throw tomatoes (uh, offer constructive criticism).
