"Spectroscopy of H3+ in the Interstellar Medium" 

Abstract:

The H3+ ion is widely believed to play a critical role in interstellar 
chemistry. I will review the "history" of our knowledge of H3+, the 
discovery of it in molecular clouds, and recent follow-up observations, 
which have led to its discovery in the diffuse interstellar medium.
