"Studying Galaxy Dynamics with Infrared/Millimeter Techniques" Reinhard Genzel MPE-Garching & U.C. Berkeley Recent progress in near-IR and millimeter instrumentation has made possible detailed studies of galaxy dynamics. I will discuss three areas where our group has recently made significant progress: studying the masses and IMF of super-star clusters in the Antennae merger, investigating the properties and evolution of the host galaxies of local ULIRGs, and first attempts at studying rotation curves and masses of star forming galaxies at z=1-3
