Laurent Vigroux Saclay MEGACAM on the CFHT ******************** MEGACPRIME is the next generation of wide field imaging instrument on CFH. It is optimized for a wide field capability, up to 1 square degree, with excellent image quality (<0.5 arcsec) from U to I bands. This combination of wide field, and excellent image resolution is unique among the planned wide field surveys. Many scientific programs, from solar system objetcs to distant galaxies studies can take advantages of this instrument. Some of these programs were described in the original MEGACAM proposal, and I will present an update. All these programs require a large amount of telescope time and will produce unprecedented data flows. To cope with this new situation and to ensure the optimum use of MEGACAM, require some changes from the present time allocation on the CFH will be required. I will discuss various possibilities for the future utilization of MEGACAM. This presentation is intended to initiate discussions, and to look for a common approach on the MEGACAM operations.
