Title: Helioseismic Measurement of Solar Internal Rotation and its Variations with Solar Activity Sergei Vorontsov Astronomy Unit Queen Mary, University of London Abstract: Current mesurements of the solar acoustic oscillations provided by the space and ground-based projects (SOHO, GONG) bring an unprecedented ammount of extremely accurate helioseismic data which allows to "see" in rather good detail the structure and rotation of the deep solar interior. This talk will consentrate on recent results of helioseismic inversions for variations of the internal rotation with solar activity cycle (the so-called solar torsional oscillations), as a test of the theoretical predictions of the recent nonlinear solar dynamo modellings.
