K-12 Educational Outreach at UH Manoa IfA Mary Kadooka and Mike Nassir IfA IfA educational outreach programs for K-12 students and teachers have been evolving. The TOPS program for high school teachers and students, the 2 meter Faulkes Telescope and the Deep Impact Mission provided Hawaii students with opportunities to successfully complete astronomy research projects. These programs seeded our HI STAR summer program to have students develop image processing and remote observing skills for doing projects. IfA mentors will describe the student astronomy projects. We will also discuss the outreach conducted by GEPOC (Graduate Education and Public Outreach Committee) students, other island workshops for HI STAR recruitment and the annual summer astrobiology teacher program. We thank all of you at IfA who have supported our efforts and encourage other astronomers and graduate students to join us in this endeavor.
