Michael Endl University of Texas at Austin Exoplanets From Outer Space! Currently we have two space missions, CoRoT and KEPLER, that are searching for new transiting exoplanets. Planets that transit in front of their host star can justifiably be called the "crown jewels" in our current collection of exoplanets. They allow us to study them in significantly more detail than the remaining majority of the planet sample. I will review the current results from CoRoT and KEPLER and will describe in detail the work our team has been doing as part of the extensive ground-based follow-up for both missions, using the telescopes at McDonald and Keck Observatory.
