Ken Chambers Title: Early Science from PS1 Abstract: The PS1 System and its current performance will briefly be described, including the PS1 Observatory, the Image Processing Pipeline, the PSPS hierarchical database, and the derived data science servers. The current status of the PS1 Surveys will be briefly discussed, including the data quality and milestones in data products and derived data products. Early science from key projects on the solar system, brown dwarfs, dust in the Milky Way, galactic structure, distant supernovae, and galaxy number counts will be shown. The consensus is these early results are very impressive and are just a taste of the extraordinary science that will come from PS1 and the Pan-STARRS System. Finally I will present my own new results on very high redshift quasars.
