Undergraduate program
The UH-Manoa Department of Physics & Astronomy offers a variety
of astronomy courses for UH-Manoa undergraduates, ranging from 100-level
non-technical introductory courses to advanced 400-level courses
suitable for students with a strong physics background. Astronomy
110, or one of the other 100-level courses, is an ideal way of fulfilling
part of the science core requirement. There are also laboratory
courses at both elementary and advanced levels.
There is no undergraduate major in astronomy at UH Manoa. Undergraduate
students at UH Manoa whose goal is to pursue astronomy at the graduate
level are strongly encouraged to major in physics.
