TeCC is a unique element of the Akamai Workforce Initiative (AWI) that supports the development and implementation of innovative curriculum related to the technological needs of astronomy, remote sensing and other technical industries in Hawaii. TeCC includes working groups, curriculum development, special projects, and teaching teams. Through TeCC, AWI integrates the diverse needs and interests of the community to shape new curriculum. TeCC is currently working in three major areas:
- Assessing workforce needs
- Planning and development for an engineering technology program ETech
- Developing and implementing new curriculum and instructional materials Curriculum
