Gas Content of Markarian Starburst Galaxies

The atomic and molecular hydrogen gas properties of a complete sample of Markarian galaxies with flux density at 60 micron higher than 1.95 Jy, are presented. We present FIR luminosity function of these galaxies and its comparison with other samples. According to our results the molecular gas mass is 2 times higher in the galaxies with complex environment (i.e. paired, interactive) than in the isolated ones. On the contrary, the atomic gas mass is 2 times higher in the isolated galaxies than in the "complex" galaxies. There is no HI deficiency in the isolated galaxies and it appears in the "complex" galaxies only.
