The conference will be held at the Grand Hyatt hotel, in the southern
part of the island of Kauai, Hawaii, with easy access from the
airport. This hotel provides a very pleasant environment for a medium-
size symposium. Very attractive room rates have been negotiated (US
$165 + 11.4% tax); room sharing will be made available. The hotel will offer ample space for poster exhibits and
email connections. Kauai offers many options for a social programme,
from typical beach activities, snorkelling and diving, to visiting
the rich landscape (Jurassic Park was filmed in Kauai). The weather
is quite predictable in the Hawaiian chain, such that the conditions
are ideal for scientific meetings.
