Facilities
The Institute for Astronomy has major facilities on three Hawaiian islands
- Oahu: at the University of Hawaii at Manoa
- Hawaii: close to the University of Hawaii, Hilo and to several other astronomical institutes
- Maui: at our new facility at Makalani
We own and we operate telescopes at
- Mauna Kea Observatory on the Island of Hawaii
- Haleakala Observatory on the Island of Maui
