Ku`ulei Kanahele - "The Kumulipo: Genesis of the Hawaiian Universe"

Kumulipo: The Genesis of the Hawaiian Universe

Ku`ulei Kanahele

Local educator, Ku'ulei Kanahele, takes us on an exploration of the Kumulipo, the Hawaiian creation story.  This journey through the cosmos tells the story of the formation of the Universe as understood in the Hawaiian tradition.  Ku'ulei describes in rich detail the first several of over 2000 lines of this chant that connects the Hawaiian people with the forces that created our whole Universe, similar and also unique to the story of modern science.
