P. Capak - Biography

Peter Capak is a first year graduate student at the Institute for Astronomy in Hawaii. Peter did his undergraduate work at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver Canada. While there, he worked with P. C. Gregory to construct a catalog of short term variability of objects at radio frequencies. They were looking for galactic black holes. Peter is also avidly interested in computers, and is proficcient with all varieties of computers, and networking. In addition to his academic interests, Peter is an expert skiier, builds remote control airplanes and hovercraft, and likes to build rockets. Peter is also a certified scuba diver and amateur photographer and he loves to cook. |
