TOPS 2000 - Session 12 Description

Forrest Luke will lead this session which will familiarize the participants with the basic components and function of small telescopes. Forrest will show the path that light follows through the telescope, and discuss how images are made in a slide show. In the context of showing how telescopes work, Forrest will discuss the many different telescope configurations. This will be followed with showing a real telescope to the group, and teaching everyone the names and functions of all the components. Forrest will also discuss the proper care and maintenance of the telescopes. Location - Planetarium and Foyer
