Tim Slater and Mary Kadooka will guide you through some
hands-on activities intended to further your understanding of how light
and radiation interact with matter. We will have optics kits available
from Edmond Scientific to play with, a Blackboard
Optics kit to do ray tracing with large optics placed on a
blackboard, and teachers can play with the spectrum discharge tubes.
This session is intended to be an exploration session to both
(re)-familiarize you with the concepts and to get hands-on ideas for
the classroom. |
