| This site makes available spectra of z > 2
quasars taken over a number of years at the Keck telescopes with the
high resolution HIRES
spectrograph and, when it became available, the lower resolution ESI
spectrograph.
These spectra were taken for a number of programs to investigate
properties of the intergalactic medium at high redshift. The ESI
spectra have uniform coverage from 4,500 to 10,000 Angstroms;
the wavelength coverage of the HIRES spectra is variable, usually
covering the Lyman alpha forest, or the CIV forest, but not both.
