V-K vs z for the K<21.5 sample
The V-K color of the K<21.5 selected galaxy sample as a function
of redshift for the Hubble deep field sample. Objects with spectroscopic
redshifts are shown with solid boxes while
the remaining objects are shown at their color estimated redshift (
crosses) The objects surrounded by the lareg open boxes are those
which are classified as ellipticals in the SED fit. The solid line
show the color evolution of an unevolved elliptical galaxy.
