Makiki-Tantulus
January 2002

A great hike starting from the Hawai'i Nature Center in Maikiki, climbing up and around Tantulus (Pu'u 'Ohi'a) peak. Our first long hike in Hawai'i -- great views all around, including the back of Manoa Valley, though we ended up walking the last mile in darkness. Thankfully the rangers didn't lock the park gates.
