Exams and Quizzes
There will be a short quiz nearly every Thursday, in class, which will usually consist of a few multiple-choice questions. There will be one midterm in class on the date given below. The Final exam will cover all the work of the course; you must take the Final to receive a grade in the course.

Homework
There will be about 6 or 7 homework sets, roughly one every other week, and usually due one week from handout at the start of class. Since solutions will be readily available, there will be no grace period, unless circumstances are exceptional. The best 70 percent of your homework grades will count toward your final grade.

Paper
There will be one term paper due in this course, which will count 10 percent toward your final grade. More details will be handed out in the first couple of weeks of class.
