Dear Class,

    for Friday's lecture, please review Ch. 4.5, 8.3, 11.1.2, and 11.2
in Binney & Merrifield.

David Harrington asked about getting copies of the transparencies.
I don't have time before the lecture to make copies, but I'm happy to
loan the folders after class (and after I've puh them back in order).
If many people want copies, perhaps folks can take turns so nobody
gets stuck doing the xeroxing.

As I've mentioned, I will try to keep the written notes up to date
and linked from www.ifa.hawaii.edu/~barnes/ast626_05/ast626.html as
the semester progresses. Last week's lectures are already up. Since
the two lectures this week are both on E galaxies, I'll put up the
written notes after friday's class.

                                                Thanks,
                                                        Josh Barnes
