...currently finishing the last of three years as a Hubble Fellow at UH’s Institute for Astronomy.  Before landing in Hawai’i, I completed my PhD in astronomy in 2010 at the University of Cambridge’s Institute of Astronomy with Prof Scott Chapman on Characterizing Ultraluminous Infrared Galaxies in the Early Universe.  While in Cambridge (UK), I was a student at St John’s College and a Gates Cambridge Scholar generously funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and Cambridge Trusts.  Before Cambridge, I was an undergraduate at the University of Arizona majoring in Astronomy, Physics and Mathematics in Tucson, Arizona and I grew up in Columbia, Missouri.

My research focuses on galaxy formation and evolution, including discovering and characterizing diverse types of starburst galaxies in the early Universe.  Please explore my pages using the tabs above for more information, and don’t hesitate to get in contact with me!

Welcome! I’m an Astronomer at the University of Hawai’i...
