Park behind the Dillingham airfiled and climb this cliff face to get to the Mokuleia forest reserve.
The cliff is ~1000ft tall and takes an hour or less.  This trail connects up to the Makua Rim as
you meander through the forrest reserve.

The cliff looks steep:


But it's not that hard.......

Makua Rim Trail - Kaena Point - Waianae
You must fill out  this (pdf) access permit from "Division of Forestry" for Kuaokala/Mokuleia Camping
Then go to their office in Makiki to pick up a permit.  Don't forget your ID

A fairly long hike on a not-so-maintained trail.  Only go on a
*very* clear day and maybe bring a stick for the scary part....











Kolekoloe Pass, Schofield:  Central Oahu

Bring your ID and get on to the Barraks.  There's a "sacrificial rock" with
a hiking trail to the leeward equivalent of the "pali lookout".  Other trails
start from here.

Drive to the gate where Kolekole Rd would decend to the Waianae side.
There's a dirt lot with a sign.

Short & Easy,  ~40min to 1hr,  Climb 600ft and get a pali-view.
This trail connects with the pillboxes on the other side of the hills.

Park just in front of the "Blue Stone" gate:

Old Pali Trail: Town Side or Windward

Kamehame Ridge: Hawaii Kai, Town

Go up this ridge and walk down a road toward the old Nike missle site
It's really short and not reallay a hike, but it's a great view down the south-shore
ridges for not much effort.  Good timelapse spot.
