Course Contents

This course offers a broad overview of modern astronomy from planets to quasars. It aims to teach basic physical concepts such as Newton's Laws and the nature of light in a non-mathematical way. The following topics will be covered:

The course will consist of a series of lectures and demonstrations with occasional in-class group quizzes to test your understanding of the concepts. There will also be an opportunity to view the night sky using one of the department's portable telescopes.
