Jeff Rich!
I am a 4th year astronomy PhD student at IfA, at UH Manoa.
My thesis advisor is Lisa Kewley, the title of my thesis is "An Integral Field Study of Galactic Winds in U/LIRGs." It focuses on an integral field survey of the GOALS galaxies, coupled with a parallel IFS study of high-redshift ULIRG candidates.
I am also working with Ann Boesgaard on determining Beryllium abundances in extremely low metal stars to investigate the possible Be plateau.
I also happen to be the current graduate student outreach coordinator! Check out the page for past activities. If you are interested in a starlab show, clasroom presentation, talks or anything else please contact me!
My (approved) thesis proposal: "An Integral Field Spectroscopic Study of Galactic Winds in (U)LIRGs."
