Examples of Image Mapping

The top right image shows a source image (top left) viewed through a gaussian random lens (e.g. a sheet of glass whose thickness is a gaussian random field; in this case gaussian smoothed white noise). The lower left shows the effect of projecting the source image through the same lens. The lower right shows the projection of a uniform intensity parallel beam through the same lens, but with false-color mapping of pixel values.
