This page contains a set of point spread functions corresponding to randomly generated, but smooth, wavefront deviations. The upper left image shows the wavefront distortion; the upper right image is the psf computed as a Fresenel integral for a wavelength such that the total phase deviation was about 140 radians. The lower left image was obtained by ray tracing. The lower right image was obtained by inverse image mapping using the mapbynumericdef command.
