She leads the NASA Astrobiology Institute at the University of Hawaii (UHNAI), and has been a Co-I on several space missions.
Stephenson James is a UHNAI Postdoctoral Fellow specializing in evolutionary biology, assessing how life selected the 20 amino acids out of a possible chemical landscape of thousands. James is working with Stephen Freeland.
Freeland Stephen is a UHNAI investigator, and our team Project Manager, specializing in evolutionary biology.
Bowers Bob is a UHNAI Postdoctoral Fellow working with team members in the oceanography to study the deep sub-seafloor biosphere.
Doyle Trish is a UHNAI Postdoctoral Fellow with expertise in the area of cosmochemistry and meteorites.
Hermalyn Brendan is a UHNAI Postdoctoral Fellow who specializes in impact cratering and instrumentation. Brendan is currently conducting experiments in Antarctica.
Chiang Hsin-Fang is a UHNAI Postdoctoral Fellow working on star formation with UHNAI faculty on the Big Island.
Hallis Lydia is a UHNAI Postdoctoral Fellow working with faculty in SOEST looking at Mars meteorites and working on the problem of the origin of Earth's water.
Yang Bin is a UHNAI Postdoctoral Fellow specializing in comets and small bodies in the asteroid belt.
Keane Jacqueline is a former UHNAI Postdoctoral Fellow now working with Karen Meech on comets with a specialty in interstellar chemistry.
Kleyna Jan is a former UHNAI Postdoctoral Fellow now working with Karen Meech on main belt comets and discovering comets with the Pan STARRS telescope on Maui.
Riesen Timm is a former UHNAI Postdoctoral Fellow now working with Karen Meech on comets. Timm is also a specialist in space instrumentation, having worked on some of the Rosetta space mission experiments.
