Meech is a scientific co-I on the Deep Impact mission, but in addition has been providing data to the Stardust mission. In addition, through a contract with the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, she and post-doc Jana Pittichova are providing analyzed comet data for all other comet missions, from the extensive database of distant comet observations. The goal of these observations is to characterize the comets as fully as possible (rotation, size, dust environment).
