Welcome to Mark's IfA webpage. Here you will find his CV, information regarding his astronomy-related activities, and links to his online hobbies. He is scheduled to complete his dissertation by the spring of 2010. Thus, he is currently seeking employment for the summer or fall of 2010. He will be pursuing either teaching or postdoc positions.

Brief Biography: Mark was born in Indiana and grew up in central Maryland. As the son of two professional astronomers, he has long harbored a strong interest in astrophysics. After graduating with a B.S. in physics and astronomy from The Ohio State University, he has spent the last six years pursuing a Master's and then a PhD in astronomy at the UH Institute for Astronomy. While most of his astronomy work has been research, he has also gained experience in college-level teaching and public outreach.

In addition to astronomy, Mark has semi-serious hobbies in gaming and creative writing. He is a published screenwriter and will have his first science fiction novel published by 2010.
