Under Construction forever (last updated Nov. 2009 // will update when I have the time/mood)
Research fields where I've got my hands dirty so far:
Starburst-AGN Composites (699-1 project)
Gravitationally Lensed Background Galaxies
(699-2 project + on-going Thesis Work)
Galactic Center (some undergrad work)
Galaxy Formation and Evolution (great, it's such a big field that all my future work
can be safely categorized in it)

For those who want to know, at IFA, a grad. does two 699 projects in the first two years, pass quals. in the third year, and
spends the rest of the unknown years focusing on a self-chosen thesis.
So, as an example,
1st yr@IFA, I was having classes and doing a first 699 project with Lisa Kewley and
David Sanders on
starburst vs. AGN evolution in ULIRGs...
2nd yr@IFA, I am working on ``using strong lensing as a probe for
metallicity history of galaxies", using the fantastic near-IR multi-slit instrument MOIRCS on Subaru.
Here is my project paper (not published, all rights/mistakes reserved):
6992.pdf
3rd yr@IFA,
I've started my thesis in March, 2009, titled "Probe the metallicity of high-z galaxies using gravitational lensing".
Supervisor: Lisa Kewley & Co-Supervisor: Priya Natarajan (on lensing modeling).
I've got lots and lots of stuff going on right now!!! I'll make a link later to share
my progress with you.
4rd yr@IFA,
I should be working very hard for the thesis!
5rd yr@IFA,
I should be almost done with the thesis, and apply for posdoc positions ?....
6rd yr@IFA ?
Whether this year exists depends on the previous years....

Here are
some Handy DataReduction Programs I wrote/used
GENERAL INTERESTS (subject to change as a function of time):
Generally, I'm interested in topics related to =>
Galaxy formation and evolution
~~however, 'I don't really care (how galaxies formed)...
it is the underlying physics that I care about...' --- Jim Peebles
Gravitational Lensing (gravity and photons, two of the most common things in
everyday life, yet can you say you really understand them?)
Dark matter and Dark energy (curiosity kills a cat)
