Support the Institute for Astronomy
Philanthropic support plays a vital role in advancing the Institute for Astronomy’s world-class research, education, and public outreach programs. Gifts and bequests help drive scientific discovery, inspire the next generation of astronomers, and expand opportunities for students and researchers. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law and may be made through cash gifts, securities, or planned estate gifts.
Your support can make a lasting impact through opportunities such as:
- Funding scholarships, graduate student fellowships, and postdoctoral research positions
- Providing state-of-the-art laboratory, computing, and observational equipment
- Establishing a named faculty position, research group, or program within the Institute for Astronomy
- Supporting innovative research, educational initiatives, and community outreach programs
Unless otherwise designated, donations are directed to the Institute for Astronomy Advancement Fund, which provides flexible support for high-priority needs, including public outreach, student support, and emerging research opportunities, at the discretion of the IfA Director.
Together, we can advance our understanding of the universe while educating and inspiring future generations of scientists and explorers.
