Captain David G. Wilson earned his Bachelor of Science in Mathametics with minor in Physics from the University of Redlands in California. He then earned his California Lifetime Secondary Teaching Certificate and taught Mathametics and Science. In 1985 Dave earned his Master of Science in Systems Management Specializing in Research and Development from the University of Southern California.

In 1967 Dave volunteered for Naval Pilot training and was designated Naval Aviator in 1969. After tours as a jet flight instructor, A-7E attack pilot in Vietnam, and as a Strike Mission Planner in Hawaii, he left active duty in 1978. After earning several FAA flight instructor ratings and instructing in a jet in Hawaii, he was hired by Aloha Airlines in 1979. He is currently a captain in B-737 aircraft flying interisland and extended range operations in the south and western Pacific. He regularly uses GPS to navigate throughout the area.

In 1999 Captain Wilson retired from the Naval Reserve after 30 years of service. He currently is a lecturer on Aerodynamics with Honolulu Community College and the University of North Dakota in their joint Commercial Aviation program. He is also the Chairman of the Central Air Safety Committee for the Aloha Airlines Pilots.
